Postmark

Hey there👋,

This month we're celebrating what happens when email infrastructure just works: developers build things that genuinely help people. We want to introduce you to Bruno Amaral, who's using Postmark to help people with Multiple Sclerosis navigate the overwhelming world of medical research.

Before we get to his story, a quick security reminder: with AI tools and third-party integrations becoming more common, make sure you're only using official Postmark resources:

Meet Bruno Amaral, a digital consultant who's using Postmark to help people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) find the most relevant research and clinical trials. Check out his project at gregory-ms.com.

How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
I make things that solve problems.

Can you tell us a little bit about your experience and the work you do?
I do digital consultancy for small and medium businesses, everything from websites to content strategy.

How has Postmark helped you?
Postmark helped me build a free service to help people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) find the most relevant research and clinical trials.

How are you using Postmark on your projects today?
We send a weekly digest of relevant MS research to patients and doctors. And also, we also notify them by email of new or updated clinical trials.

What advice would you give other folks in your role about implementing and managing their email?
You can be the best at what you do, but nobody can do everything alone. For something as complex as handling emails, Postmark is a valuable partner because it allows you to focus on your strengths.

Here are three pieces that caught our attention this month—each tackling a different aspect of how AI and infrastructure are evolving:

Bridging the SRE Gap: Towards Autonomous Observability and RCA - Thoughtworks explores how AI can transform incident response from a manual, fragmented process into an autonomous system.

Will Amazon S3 Vectors Kill Vector Databases? - The Milvus engineering architect dives deep into AWS's new S3 Vectors offering and what it means for the vector database ecosystem. Spoiler: rather than "killing" dedicated vector databases, S3 Vectors fits into a tiered storage model where different solutions serve different performance and cost needs.

Google Brings Gemini to Chrome for US Users - Google is rolling out Gemini integration directly in Chrome and announcing "agentic browsing" capabilities that let AI complete tedious tasks like booking appointments or ordering groceries.
