Customer spotlight
This month we're featuring the founder of EmailSnapshot, who used Postmark's Inbound capability to go from idea to paying customers in just a few weeks. Here's their story.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
A curious learner who loves building products.
Can you tell us a little bit about your experience and the work you do?
I've got a background in software engineering, made the jump to product management, even tried sales for a while, and now run product management for a cyber security startup. But when not busy at work, I spend my free time building web and mobile apps for my portfolio company LaBounty Labs.
How has Postmark helped you?
Postmark helps me quickly get ideas off the ground to test MVPs and see what works and what doesn't. More specifically, using Postmark's Inbound capability helped me get the initial prototype of EmailSnapshot.com up and running without the complicated setup required at other services.
How are you using Postmark on your projects today?
I've been using Postmark for outbound emails like password resets and onboarding email flows for years. But EmailSnapshot is the first time using the Inbound capability via webhooks to get JSON formatted emails that work perfectly with Rails' ActionMailbox. This helped me go from idea to production in a few days, onboard my first beta users, and get paying customers in weeks not months.
What advice would you give other folks in your role about implementing and managing their email?
Sending and receiving emails can get more complicated than you might think, so don't waste time messing with email infrastructure, use something simple like Postmark that just works the first time.
Built something cool with Postmark lately? We'd love to feature you in our Customer Spotlight!
